At VR1, we believe that to be a responsible social being is all that is required to make the world a better place to live in. It is commonly apprehended that social responsibility is ‘social service’. But in reality, responsibility is the fundamental duty of every individual where as service involves sacrifices that go beyond one’s duty.

For instance, helping your mother in her daily chores or tutoring your children in their academics or supporting your spouse in house-hold work etc., are considered by you more as a responsibility than service. But what you deliver as a responsibility not only makes your home a beautiful place to live in, but also develops an endearing bond with your loved ones.

Similarly and in a broader sense, what holds good for your happy home translates to the society too. In fact, each of us, however busy in our day-to-day lives would have wanted to contribute to the betterment of society in someway. Apparently, we justify our inability to act with our indispensable mundane (routine). But if we can spare minimal time and energy, we can make a huge difference to many lives. The basic responsibilities of a Sitizen as defined below, would give you a clear picture on how the difference can be made by making just a small move.

Basic Responsibilities of a SITIZEN

We often think that doing something of social utility is time-taking and that it is difficult for an individual to balance his routine with such a task. But being a Sitizen is as simple as it is meaningful. The basic responsibilities of a Sitizen would be:

• To spend at least one hour per week in self-less duty.
• To spread the message to at least to four individuals per week.
• To practise KOSSIP (Knowledge Oriented Speaking and Systematic Intelligent Performance)
