VR1 HOME - Not Just An Orphanage

Standing hand in hand, if the entire world forms a human chain, every individual will have a hand to embrace and support. This is what VR1 envisions.

Gone are the days when they had NO ONE; Now, they have VR1-We Are One.

VR1 HOME adopts children as a part of our VR1 family and acts as a transparent medium between the donors and the children.

VR1 HOME is not just an orphanage but a center for the healthy upbringing of a child. It extends complete support to underprivileged children. Education At VR1 HOME - A Holistic Approach

We unlock the unseen potential of the children and inspire them to develop themselves and work for a better tomorrow.

“We want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on one’s own feet.’’

- Swami Vivekananda

Value Based Education

On the basis of universal and timeless principles, we mould children to become broad-minded and global citizens. We instill in them an internal desire to make the right choices, even when no one is watching them! The only way to achieve this is by teaching them the RIGHT ATTITUDES and the earlier, the better.

VR1 Trust Ensures

Transparency

You can monitor every penny you have donated for a child on a day-to-day basis on the website.

You can also regularly interact with the children online or visit our VR1 HOME in person and monitor their progress.

We invite highly experienced and responsible people known for their sincerity and honesty to take up the 'power of authentication'. They include not only retired IAS and IPS officers but also people of sterling character from all walks of life. In our pilot project, the 'power of authentication' has been taken up by Mr.Rama Rao, a retired Asst. Commissioner of Police who was conferred the highly prestigious “Indian Police Medal” by the President of India in 1995. He was also awarded the “Uttama Seva Pathakam” and the “Mahonnatha Seva Pathakam” by the State Government. He has also received 9 meritorious awards and 365 service awards.

He has kindly consented to shoulder the responsibility of monitoring the flow of VR1 funds.

Beyond The ZERO HEAD Organization

At VR1, none of the board members have remunerative roles. The funds are never used to meet the administrative and office expenditure. On the contrary, the board members and organizers themselves contribute to the fund. Through various activities that they organize, they add more than 20% to your donation!

Win - Win - Win Model

You Win, the Child Wins and the Society Wins too! Success begins with you, expands to the child you adopt and ultimately spreads to the entire society. Thus, your ‘donation’ is an ‘investment’ towards the betterment of society.

Structure Of CAP

2000 VR1 HOMES have been planned across INDIA by the VR1 trust in order to organize various projects as a part of the Child Adoption Program (CAP).

1) CAP 1: For Underprivileged Children

Under CAP 1, children in the age group of 6 to 10 years are adopted under three categories

  1. Orphans
  2. Semi-orphans
  3. Poor children
Selection for CAP 1

Children can be identified by either students or sponsors. This is done in two steps.

Step1: Students can identify children and post their profiles on www.vr1forever.org.

Step2: Whoever wants to adopt can select a child from the website.

OR

A child can be selected by the Trust on behalf of the sponsors.

If you can donate just Rs. 3000 per annum, you can adopt a child through VR1 HOME! You are not only building the future of a child but also that of a nation.

2) CAP 2: For All The Children

Under CAP 2, all the children irrespective of their backgrounds are trained through organized workshops.

The best feature about this initiative is that it is not exclusively for the privileged or underprivileged. It is designed to benefit every single student because every child counts in building the nation.

Selection For CAP 2:

Applications from parents and teachers of recognized schools should be forwarded through e-mail. The children will be selected on the basis of an interview.

Organizing Committee:

Students are invited to form organizing committees either Full-time or Part-time.

The committees are formed across various centers in India. Each committee will take up the responsibility of a particular HOME/Zone and administer them completely.

VR1 Trust provides a fund of upto 10 lakhs per annum for each VR1 home. The committees take charge of the operations to utilize this fund in a transparent and structured manner.
